I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support me at my senior recital yesterday.  It truly was a labor of love and I think it went great!!!! And a special thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Jones who has been my fantastic voice teacher for the last nearly five years!  It has been life changing working with you over this time.

As I begin the second and final week of being the Assistant Stage Manager for Twelfth Night at Coastal Carolina University, I can't help but reflect on my past four years.  This show marks my final show as an undergraduate.  I have learned so much over these last four years and I would never in a million years have expected to grow as much as I have since freshmen year.  Thank you Coastal Carolina University for making me the artist I am today and for providing me the foundation to take the next steps to my future.  But before graduation, before "real life", we have one more week of the wild ride that is Twelfth Night! Welcome to Club Illyria!!!

So excited to be the Assitant Stage Manager for CCU's Twelfth Night, or What You Will!!! This is the first time I'm stepping into a stage management role and I'm really enjoying it! Our modern, "Euro-trash" retelling of the classic Shakespeare play is sure to be a one of a kind and exciting theater experience. This ain't your grandma's Twelfth Night!!! It opens at CCU in the Edwards Black Box Theater on April 9th!!

Costume Design - Amahl and the Night Visitors

In addition to playing King Kaspar in Coastal Carolina University's production of Amahl and the Night Visitors, I also designed the costumes for the ensemble as well as for the lead, Amahl.  Not only did I design most of the costumes, I also constructed them.  This experience was exciting, exhausting, and immensely rewarding.  Here are some candid shots that show the costumes (taken from Chander Parnell and Kathryn Gaffney's Facebook page.  Professional shots will be uploaded later!)

Coastal Carolina University's Opera Workshop's production of Amahl and the Night Visitors by Gian Carlo Menotti opened tonight.  It's truly been an amazing experience working on this show as King Kaspar in this fun production!  Working on this score has been a huge learning experience and I could not be more proud of the result.  I'm excited for the rest of the run!  If you're around Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach you should come this weekend and check us out!
